After 5 years as a practicing Clinical Psychologist Dr. Polk joined Booze, Allen and Hamilton as a Senior Consultant, specializing in solutions to the human equation in corporations. From the mid 1970,s to 1983 Dr. Polk was Director of Field Training and Recruitment for Hilti, Inc., an international marketer and manufacturer of construction products. Additionally, during this time frame, Dr. Polk was Vice President of Salesforce Development for United States Leasing Corporation with domestic and international responsibility for training, recruitment, management and organizational development. In 1983 Dr. Polk founded Management Resource Systems, a diversified consulting organization, with specialization in solutions for a diversified range of human resource problems and maximization of human performance within corporations of all sizes.

Dr. Polk holds a B.A. & M.A. from Yale University and the University of Georgia.
His Doctoral studies were completed at the University of Southern California.
